John Amico Financial Assistance Image 1The John Amico School of Hair Design for almost 50 years has been able to maintain one of the most affordable educations with tuition at the low cost of $21,814.* The goal is to have students graduate without heavy debt loads.  The Financial Assistance staff will help you with the process, assessments and schedule your award eligibility. Our School participates in Title IV programs such as federal grants (money that you don't have to pay back). You may also be eligible for additional scholarships or grants to assist with paying for your education. All of this is based on your qualification.

Federal Pell Grant

Federal Pell Grants are funds granted towards a student's tuition which does not have to be repaid. These grants are the base of federal student financial assistance whereby other non-federal sources might be added. They are generally awarded to undergraduate students and the award amounts can change yearly. These grants are awarded based on the need of the student formulated by the government. The calculation by the Federal Pell Grant will depend on your need, cost of attendance, expected family contribution, married or single, full or part time and attendance. You must qualify for all grant awards.

ACE Grant*

ACE Grants are for $1,000 and is considered an instructional grant. This grant can be earned and is available to all students in cooperation with American Association of Cosmetology School. The application is available upon touring the school.

Please Note:

If you have already filled out a FAFSA then you can add our school code which is for Cosmetology Concepts, LLC John Amico School of Hair Design. The school code is 04187400. Go to https://fafsa.ed.gov/ and enter the school. We will be notified in 3 days of your status and award.

Military Spouses and Veteran's Education Benefits

John Amico School Is approved for a variety of programs. Upon touring the school all of this information will be received and reviewed. The JA School is approved for Veteran's Educational Benefits for veterans, eligible dependents of deceased or disabled veterans and active status National Guard and Reserve personnel.

High School Scholarships

High school seniors and juniors enrolling in John Amico School of Hair Design Cosmetology program are eligible to apply for high school senior or junior scholarships. The amounts is $1,000. Student's applicants are evaluated and selected by John Amico Staff and Industry Professionals. You will receive an application when you have a personal tour of the school. The student must be currently enrolled or going into junior or senior year of high school. All other information regarding your personal needs can be obtained upon touring the school.

Founders Scholarship for Bachelors and 4 Year Degree Students

Founders Scholarship for Bachelors and 4 Year Degree Students

The student must have a 4 year Bachelors Degree and Diploma form a 4-year College or University. This scholarship are identified for those students who can no longer receive government assistance in obtaining a Pell grant. The scholarship is in the amount of $3,000. All information will be made available upon a personal tour.

INDUSTRY SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR COSMETOLOGY

Sport Clips Scholarship for Cosmetology

Sport Clips Scholarship is a scholarship opportunity available through AACS, which is awarding a number of $1,000 scholarships for Hair Design and Cosmetology students who attend AACS member schools. Only one scholarship recipient will be chosen from each school per year.

Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship for Cosmetology and Barbering

Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship awards $1,000 scholarships for students attending or applying for enrollment to a barber, hair design or cosmetology school.

OPI Scholarships

OPI's offers scholarships for Cosmetology students attending AACS member schools in the amount of $500 each through the Schaeffer Family Foundation. The winning students are based on an essay and one industry recommendation.

Beauty Schools Marketing Group - $2,500 Scholarship for Cosmetology

Beauty Schools Marketing Group is offering a $2,500 cosmetology school scholarship to help cosmetology school students enrich their lives.

AHBAI Scholarship

The American Health and Beauty Aids Institute or the AHBAI Fred Luster, Sr. Education Foundation offers scholarships specifically to hair design and cosmetology students.

Farouk Systems USA/AACS awards students attending AACS member schools scholarships in the amount of $1,000 provided by Farouk Systems USA
